Business development manager Benelux

The Business Development Manager Benelux plays a key role in continuously looking for new business opportunities and hunting for new clients (warehouse, VAS and transport).

In negotiation he/she takes care of maximizing both profitability and gross margin growth. The business Development Manager cooperates closely with the other Commercial / Business Development teammates and the Solutions and Implementation team.
Positioning Movianto as a leading logistics provider in the Benelux, and European market and exploiting its potential of growth.

This position reports to the Commercial Director Region North. The function can be based in Aalst (BE), or Oss (NL).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Cooperates with the local Commercial team. Examine new selling possibilities and alliance opportunities to accelerate sales in the Region and provide constructive feedback and opportunities for constant improvements.
  • Develop and execute business strategies for new Key Accounts in cooperation with the local Management team
  • Identify, target and successful acquire new accounts to meet sales targets and to secure growth of business,
  • Preserve and reinforce a strong corporate image that reflects the professionalism and abilities of Movianto, and in confidence in the client/customer
  • Maintain commercial awareness through market intelligence and positively contributes to product and service initiatives
  • Hunt key identified prospects by developing strong relationships and selling Movianto image and portfolio of services.
  • Proactive approach of potential new clients. Establish and maintain strong relationships to potential clients with the intention to gain new business.
  • Develop proposals in response to request for proposals (RFPs/RFQs).
  • Coordination of the implementation of new business in cooperation with the Solutions, Implementation and relevant local teams.
  • Adhere to and support front- and back office processes to ensure excellence in client relations and contract management; provide constructive feedback on opportunities for improvement and help establish best
  • practices in own area of responsibility
  • Safety: the employee should follow all prevention measures and measures of security. He should at all times, treat safety for him/herself and others as a priority . Any unsafe situation must be reported immediately to the prevention consultant.
  • Environment: the employee should behave within Movianto with respect of the environment and must contribute to the company environmental objectives, e.g. reduce use of paper & change printing behavior, save energy by turning of lights when possible, ; sorting of waste etc.
  • GDP: each employee will at all times follow the GDP guidelines and regulations. Situations in which GDP is compromised must be reported immediately to QA.

EDUCATION & FORMAL TRAINING:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent through experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar/relevant role in a supply chain environment or logistics company, preferably in the healthcare industry. Experience in an international role is a plus
  • Experience and knowledge of the healthcare industry with its specific requirements in warehousing, transportation and value added services
  • Excellent knowledge of sales techniques and negotiation skills

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Multilingual skills; Dutch, French and English required
  • Excellent knowledge of sales techniques and negotiation skills and customer focus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Very strong team building skills, both within and external to own department
