The Business Development Manager plays a key role in continuously looking for new business opportunities and hunting for new clients. In negotiation he/she takes care of maximizing both profitability and gross margin growth. The business Development Manager cooperates closely with the other Commercial / Business Development teammates and the Solutions and Implementation team. Positioning Movianto as a leading logistics provider in the DACH Region, European market and exploiting its potential of growth. As a member of the Commercial team Region North, he/she directly reports to the Commercial Director Region North.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cooperates with the local Commercial team. Examine new selling possibilities and alliance opportunities to accelerate sales in the Region and provide constructive feedback and opportunities for constant improvements.
  • Develop and execute business strategies for new Key Accounts in cooperation with the local Management team
  • Identify, target and successful acquire new accounts to meet sales targets and to secure growth of business.
  • Preserve and reinforce a strong corporate image that reflects the professionalism and abilities of Movianto, and in confidence in the client/customer.
  • Maintain commercial awareness through market intelligence and positively contributes to product and service initiatives.
  • Hunt key identified prospects by developing strong relationships and selling Movianto image and portfolio of services.
  • Develop proposals in response to request for proposals (RFPs/RFQs).
  • Coordination of the implementation of new business in cooperation with the Solutions, Implementation and relevant local teams.
  • Adhere to and support front- and back office processes to ensure excellence in client relations and contract management; provide constructive feedback on opportunities for improvement and help establish best practices in own area of responsibility.
  • Demonstrate positive internal relations for progression and development of Sales initiatives and positively encourage team to do the same.

Education and experience required:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent through experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar/relevant role in a supply chain environment or logistics company, preferably in the healthcare industry. Experience in an international role is a plus.
  • Experience and knowledge of the healthcare industry with its specific requirements in warehousing, transportation and value added services.
  • Excellent knowledge of sales techniques and negotiation skills
  • strong planning and organizational skills, good self-management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of company philosophies and goals
  • Very strong customer relations skills
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written). The knowledge of 1 (minimum) or 2 (asset) other European languages is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and multicultural communication skills
