Job summary

The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing and developing strategic relationships with key pharmaceutical clients and new prospects, for the provision of contract logistics services. This role involves acquiring new customers, developing the existing client portfolio, and ensuring the successful implementation of Movianto logistics solutions tailored to the pharmaceutical industry.

This position reports to the Managing Director, Movianto Italia.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Develop and maintain relationships with key pharmaceutical clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  2. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the pharmaceutical sector.
  3. Management of RFP (Request for Proposals) and RFQ (Request for Quotes) received from pharmaceutical manufacturers
  4. Conduct preliminary profitability analysis of orders and manage the overall execution of contracts.
  5. Manage KPI reporting for both internal management and client sharing

 

Education & Experience required

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, supply chain, logistics or equivalent training/work experience.
  • At least 10 years of experience in managing large pharmaceutical customers for the provision of contract logistics services in Italy.
  • A successful track record of customer portfolio development and for acquiring new customers

  • Ability to adapt to a growing environment where procedures are under continuous development
  • Strong planning and organizational skills to bring structure where needed and to perform under pressure
  • Ability to work independently, whilst demonstrating a team player attitude
  • Client oriented, creative and solution minded
  • Excellent knowledge of the MS Office suite, particularly Excel; proficient knowledge and use of relevant company WMS.
  • Fluent in English and Italian (verbal and written)
  • Excellent KPI reporting and presentation skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong interpersonal skills allowing to adapt to different types of audience and culture.
