Movianto building state-of-the-art logistics facilities in Denmark to serve Nordic countries even better

Movianto, a major and experienced healthcare logistics provider dedicated to healthcare product distribution in Europe, has begun building a new GDP warehouse in Køge, Denmark.

The healthcare logistics company is based in Denmark and has been acting as a strategic distribution hub to customers in all of the Nordics, as well as Iceland and the Baltics for over 20 years. In this region, Movianto specialises in the safe storage and transport of human and veterinary pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and vaccines.

Marina Steensen, Managing Director of Movianto in the Nordics, says, “This new warehouse will contribute to building the foundation for future growth for Movianto in the Nordics. From a modern and sustainably built warehouse, we will offer more of the types of services our clients and potential clients now demand – amongst other things, cold storage and capacity for dangerous goods.”

Movianto has decided to work with Logicenters, a trusted provider of logistics centres in the Nordics, in order to construct this new facility to state-of-the-art standards. The building includes weather sealing to increase energy efficiency, smart lighting, eco-friendly surface water management, solar panels and parking spaces ready to charge electric vehicles.

A strategic location for better logistics

The new warehouse is located in Køge, just 10 minutes from the present site and 30 minutes from Copenhagen. The choice of Køge is a strategic one, allowing overland access to various Nordic markets, and proximity to our healthcare clients.

This new facility will increase global storage capacities, in particular increasing the capacity of cold and ADR/controlled drug storage by a factor of 4. The move will help Movianto to support its clients’ future growth, allowing the company to offer services even better adapted to the changing requirements of their customers. The delivery of the building is expected in Q3 of this year.
