Movianto and TVM Tiergesundheit extend contract and expand collaboration

Movianto and TVM Tiergesundheit extend contract by three years and expand collaboration

(Ginsheim-Gustavsburg/Berlin/Cournon d’Auvergne) The logistics service provider Movianto, which specialises in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sector, and TVM Tiergesundheit, the German subsidiary of French veterinary pharmaceutical manufacturer Dômes Pharma, have extended their collaboration by three years.

“Movianto has supported us very successfully in our entry into the German market since 2021. They have taken care of all warehouse logistics for us, from storage with quality control to pick and pack of shipping orders and returns management, as well as organising delivery to veterinarians in Germany and Austria,” says Paul Thiou, Managing Director of Berlin-based TVM GmbH. “We are now entering the second stage of our development and will continue to expand our portfolio and volumes.” Thiou plans to double the shipping volume, which currently comprises up to 14,000 packs per month, over the next few years.

To date, TVM has mainly sold products in the ambient range (15 to 25 degrees Celsius) in Germany. Now, other products requiring a cold chain are being added. Thiou: “This also includes stem cell products, which not only require correct cooling at 2 to 8 degrees, but are also time-critical.” Movianto is the logistics partner of TVM not only in Germany, but in France, too. There, Movianto works for Dômes Pharma, parent company of TVM and one of the top ten animal health companies in the country.

For Dennis Spamer, Managing Director of Movianto for Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH), the development of TVM confirms a clear trend in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry: “The demand for temperature-controlled logistics, especially in the refrigeration sector, is growing steadily. In order to be able to offer sufficient capacity for this, we have expanded our cold storage capacity at the German sites alone to more than 8,000 pallet spaces in recent years. And the next expansion stage is already planned.” For smaller consignments, Movianto also utilises the option of storing them in validated refrigerators. This is also the case in Ginsheim-Gustavsburg, where all TVM products are stored in both ambient and refrigerated areas.

Last but not least, the regular review meetings with the customer were very pleasing. “We have agreed certain quality indicators with the client. And over the last 20 months, we have consistently exceeded these KPIs.”
