Aware of our key role in patient health security, Movianto’s team activated a Business Continuity Plan (BCP) as early as March 2024. This BCP aimed to implement procedures ensuring the continuity of our logistics operations during this period. A task force was formed, including representatives from quality, operations, customer experience, human resources, and transport departments. The first step was to identify risks that could affect critical activities: receiving, storing, preparing, and dispatching orders.
Two main working groups were established:
• A group focused on logistics and transport activities.
• A group dedicated to HR matters related to the event.
Each group proposed solutions to address the identified risks, enabling Movianto to meet its commitments to clients and patients during the Games.
Concrete Actions Taken:
- Hiring a dedicated individual to monitor orders in restricted zones.
- Identifying all orders destined for restricted zones.
- Preparing and assigning specific transport for restricted-zone orders.
- Daily monitoring of all Olympic-related orders.
In parallel, Movianto’s logistics team and Eurotranspharma’s transport team conducted extensive mapping to identify client recipients in impacted zones. Based on recipient type, various action plans were proposed to laboratories. Movianto offered over 30 laboratories two delivery models: insulated coolers or boxes with temperature loggers for products needing +2°C/+8°C. Each client chose the model best suited to their product type.
